PROGETTI UE: ONLINE TRAINING EVENT GFUTURE
Si è svolto l’8 Luglio 2026 l’online training event del progetto europeo G Future (Green Tools for a bright Future), nato con l’obiettivo di sviluppare strumenti didattici “verdi” e innovativi da integrare nelle attività quotidiane scolastiche e promuovere la sostenibilità tra i più giovani. L’incontro online ha permesso di tracciare il bilancio dei traguardi raggiunti e di delineare le basi per una futura estensione delle attività. Il progetto si è sviluppato grazie a un solido partenariato internazionale guidato dal capofila Trend Prima (Slovenia), Sport VIV (Croazia), una scuola elementare slovena e il Centro Universitario Sportivo Palermo (CUS). Ad aprire i lavori è stata Lucia Pollina, vicepresidente del CUS, che ha sottolineato il valore simbolico dell’iniziativa paragonando il piantare semi alla costruzione del futuro. Un successo confermato anche da Giuseppe Cultrara, Presidente del Consiglio del Comune di Isnello, che ha ricordato l’entusiasmo dei bambini nel veder crescere piantine di basilico grazie alle “matite piantabili” distribuite dal progetto.
Tra i momenti chiave del percorso spicca l’evento dello scorso maggio presso l’Istituto Scolastico “Luigi Pirandello” di Isnello, dove gli studenti, affiancati da un gruppo di cittadinanza attiva e supportati dai volontari del Servizio Civile Universale, hanno realizzato un vero e proprio orto didattico nel cortile della scuola. Il General Manager del CUS Rosario Genchi e l’assistant project Manager Alessandra Crapa, hanno testimoniato il forte coinvolgimento dei bambini delle scuole elementari e medie in attività all’aria aperta come la piantumazione e le cacce al tesoro verdi.

On 8 July 2026, the online training event for the European G Future (Green Tools for a Bright Future) project took place. The project was launched with the aim of developing ‘green’ and innovative educational tools to be integrated into everyday school activities and to promote sustainability amongst young people. The online meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of the milestones achieved and to lay the foundations for a future expansion of the project’s activities. The project was developed thanks to a strong international partnership led by the lead partner Trend Prima (Slovenia), Sport VIV (Croatia), a Slovenian primary school and the Palermo University Sports Centre (CUS). The proceedings were opened by Lucia Pollina, vice-president of the CUS, who emphasised the symbolic value of the initiative by comparing the planting of seeds to building the future. This success was also confirmed by Giuseppe Cultrara, Chairman of the Isnello Municipal Council, who recalled the children’s enthusiasm at seeing basil seedlings grow thanks to the ‘plantable pencils’ distributed by the project.
One of the key moments of the project was the event held last May at the “Luigi Pirandello” School in Isnello, where the pupils, alongside a group of active citizens and supported by volunteers from the Universal Civil Service, created a fully-fledged educational vegetable garden in the school playground. CUS General Manager Rosario Genchi and Assistant Project Manager Alessandra Crapa highlighted the strong involvement of primary and secondary school children in outdoor activities such as planting and ‘green’ treasure hunts.
