Oggi, presso il plesso scolastico “Luigi Pirandello” di Isnello, si è svolta con successo una giornata dedicata alla promozione di metodologie di insegnamento “green”, nell’ambito del progetto europeo GFuture – Green Tools For a Bright Future. L’iniziativa ha visto il coinvolgimento attivo di studenti della scuola primaria e secondaria, insegnanti e una rete di volontari, uniti dall’obiettivo di integrare l’attività fisica con l’educazione ambientale.
L’evento ha trasformato la scuola in un laboratorio a cielo aperto. Durante la mattinata, i bambini hanno partecipato a un’attività di piantumazione, imparando a mettere a dimora piccoli semi in vasi. Questa fase è stata resa possibile grazie al prezioso supporto dei volontari del Servizio Civile Universale e delle volontarie della cittadinanza attiva, che hanno guidato i più piccoli nella scoperta del ciclo della vita vegetale.
A seguire, gli studenti sono stati protagonisti di una vivace Caccia al Tesoro Verde. Per supportare lo svolgimento delle attività e lasciare un segno tangibile dell’esperienza, a ciascun partecipante è stato fornito un kit composto da un block notes e una matita piantabile. Questi strumenti sono stati fondamentali per annotare indizi e riflessioni durante l’evento e permetteranno ai bambini, una volta terminato l’uso della matita, di veder fiorire una nuova pianta, portando avanti il messaggio di sostenibilità appreso oggi.
Il Progetto GFuture “Green Tools For a Bright Future” è un progetto di 18 mesi (dicembre 2024 – giugno 2026) co-finanziato dal programma Erasmus+ SPORT. L’obiettivo principale è contrastare la sedentarietà infantile attraverso lo sviluppo di un manuale di metodologie didattiche “verdi” e sportive, testate direttamente sul campo in Italia, Slovenia e Croazia.
L’evento di oggi a Isnello rappresenta una tappa fondamentale della fase di “Outreach” nelle scuole, mirata a diffondere i risultati del progetto e ad assistere gli istituti nell’implementazione di programmi educativi più attivi e sostenibili.

Today, at the Isnello school complex, a successful event was held to promote ‘green’ teaching methods, as part of the European GFuture project – Green Tools For a Bright Future. The initiative saw the active involvement of primary and secondary school pupils, teachers and a network of volunteers, all united by the aim of combining physical activity with environmental education. The event transformed the school into an open-air workshop. During the morning, the children took part in a planting activity, learning how to plant small seeds in pots. This phase was made possible thanks to the invaluable support of volunteers from the Universal Civil Service and active citizenship volunteers, who guided the younger children in discovering the plant life cycle.
Afterwards, the pupils took part in a lively Green Treasure Hunt. To support the activities and leave a tangible memento of the experience, each participant was given a kit containing a notepad and a plantable pencil. These items were essential for jotting down clues and reflections during the event and will allow the children, once they have finished using the pencil, to watch a new plant blossom, carrying forward the message of sustainability they learnt today. The GFuture Project, ‘Green Tools For a Bright Future’, is an 18-month project (December 2024 – June 2026) co-funded by the Erasmus+ SPORT programme. The main objective is to combat sedentary lifestyles among children through the development of a handbook of ‘green’ and sports-based teaching methods, tested directly in the field in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
Today’s event in Isnello marks a key milestone in the ‘Outreach’ phase in schools, aimed at disseminating the project’s results and assisting schools in implementing more active and sustainable educational programmes.
